Summary: The school plan implementation process begins in August with the distribution of timelines and templates to all sites. In the first phase, schools will review state and local assessment data to evaluate the effectiveness of their current Title I programs, supported by the District Title I Coordinators. In the second phase, schools use this data to create improvement plans that address identified student needs. These plans focus on key areas such as English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, support for English Learners, Parent Involvement, Professional Development, Social-Emotional Learning and Behavioral Supports, and College and Career Readiness. During this phase, the Educational Services Department; along with District Title I Coordinators and partners like the San Joaquin County Office of Education provide guidance and collaborative support.

The final phase includes the completion of all required documentation, such as School Site Council membership forms, budget details, and signature pages. Schools also engage their broader school communities, including the English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC), to review data outcomes, provide feedback, and help shape the next steps in the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA). Technical assistance is available throughout the process from Educational Services staff and district coordinators.

Schools identified for Targeted Support and Improvement (TSI), Additional Targeted Support and Improvement (ATSI), or Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) will receive additional, targeted support from the Educational Services Department and educational partners to develop focused goals and strategies to improve student outcomes. This item will return for Board action at the June 17, 2025 Board Meeting.
